相 較於當代動漫及3D動畫趨勢，本片以黏土動畫費時八年製作，已屬珍貴。精緻的場面調度與溫文的質樸感讓人耳目一新。小鎮電線桿所共同撐起底層人們生活的日 常光影紀事，在日本文化人文精神的基礎上更進一步發揚。連日驟雨，電線桿愛咪因而故障壞損，幸而維修工高橋細心照料得以修復，愛咪的情感卻也引此來 電……。究竟人是否得以與電線桿相戀，這個愛情禁忌該如何被啟竇與被弭平？


One night, Elemi, the power pole, collapses. When she recovers consciousness, she sees Mr Takahashi, the electrician, in front of her. Elemi becomes infatuated with him. One day, pretending she is human, she decides to ring him. Sure enough, they become good friends making contact almost every day through the phone all the while Elemi keeps her secret.
