土地徵收興建高速鐵路，究竟是福或是禍？菜園村原是個靜謐的小村，在廣深港高鐵的興建下，面臨拆遷 的一點一滴。在集權體制管轄下的香港民主，似乎正面對抉擇的關頭。然而在影片中高婆婆的帶領下，霎時我們脫離了那些紛擾、質疑，進入菜園村那些由蔬菜、藥草與水果醞釀的生命哲學，簡單又繁複：這株藥草原來清潤退火，那片蕉葉原來可使茶梗不黏手……。

This is a film about Choi Yuen Village. Between spring and summer in 2010, villagers move towards rebuilding the village with great difficulty. They face soaring land prices finding a new place for the village, they need to negotiate with the government everyday to try to get the license of rebuilding their home. What is going to bear the weight of this passion to life and to the land?
