風災過後，順妹依靠在墳墓旁，死守著墳墓不願讓它被遷移；日本人西田手 持一把老琵琶闖進這個小村落，他拿起照片尋找爺爺生前慎重的囑咐，無奈，日軍招待所如今頹圮毀壞，剩下蕭家完整無損。此時，順妹突然不見蹤影，難道她果真 一心尋死……。一段相隔一甲子、夾雜兩段時空的愛恨情仇，述說幾十年前的日治時期，原來還深深牽動著居住在寶島的人們。


It all begins after the disaster caused by the invasion of a typhoon. Over a span of 60 years, this film tells a story of love, hate, and affection; and recounts how the age of the Japanese reign in Taiwan (1895-1945) still has a deep influence on the people who live on this beautiful beloved island today.
